Volunteer With Us!
Based on your interest, background, and availability you can choose to volunteer as a Program Instructor or Program Mentor.
We are looking for Volunteers Who:

Are high school graduates (we welcome current collegiate students)

Are willing to complete a background check
-
Are passionate about getting the next generation of students excited about engineering and technology (A STEM background is not necessary)

Are comfortable navigating digital tools (Zoom, Google Classroom, or similar)

Are willing to assess student engagement with curriculum

Program Instructor
Our program instructors lead groups of 10-15 students through provided curriculum. As an instructor you set the tone of the classroom and facilitate student problem solving and team building.
We are looking for Volunteer Program Instructors Who:

Are confident in leading a group of 10-15 students (Previous teaching experience is a plus)

Can help direct the work of 1 or 2 supporting volunteer program mentors
-
Are available for 6 or more consecutive weeks
Estimated Time Commitment.
Up to 4 hours per week for 6 consecutive weeks. Please note that up to 1hr per week should be spent reviewing curriculum.

Program Mentor
Our program mentors support the work of our program instructors. Program mentors interact with students on a 1:1 or small group basis to reinforce curriculum concepts, encourage problem solving and promote team building.
We are looking for Volunteer Program Mentors Who:

Are confident working with students on a 1:1 or small group basis

Can work harmoniously with other volunteer program instructors and mentors
Estimated Time Commitment.
Up to 2 hours per week. Please note that up to 30 minutes per week should be spent reviewing curriculum.
