We are always looking for volunteers to join our team! Based on your interest, background, and availability you can choose to volunteer as a Curriculum Coordinator, Program Instructor or Program Mentor.

Our next round of opportunities are virtual!

Curriculum Coordinator

What You Do.

Our curriculum coordinators work to bring the latest in engineering and technology to our programs. As a curriculum coordinator, you will leverage your expertise in engineering, technology and/or education to aid in the continued review and development of our program curriculum.

We are looking for Curriculum Coordinators Who:

  1. Are passionate about getting the next generation of students excited about engineering and technology

  2. Have expertise in engineering, technology and/or education (no previous curriculum development experience needed)

  3. Can work harmoniously with other volunteer curriculum coordinators, program instructors and program mentors

  4. Are comfortable navigating digital tools (Zoom, Google Classroom, or similar)

  5. Are willing to push the boundary of what it means to educate students.

Estimate Time Commitment.

Up to 4 hours per week for 6+ months. This is an ongoing volunteer position that will involve curriculum development, volunteer training and curriculum evaluation/improvement.

Other Requirements.

  1. Must be a high school graduate (we welcome current college students)

  2. Must be willing to complete a background check

  3. Must be willing to lend expertise long term

Program Instructor

What You Do.

Our program instructors lead groups of 10-15 students through provided curriculum. As an instructor you set the tone of the classroom and facilitate student problem solving and team building.

We are looking for Volunteer Program Instructors Who:

  1. Are passionate about getting the next generation of students excited about engineering and technology (A STEM background is a plus, but not necessary)

  2. Are confident in leading a group of 10-15 students (Previous teaching experience is a plus)

  3. Can help direct the work of 1 or 2 supporting volunteer program mentors

  4. Are comfortable navigating digital tools (Zoom, Google Classroom, or similar)

  5. Are available for 6 or more consecutive weeks

  6. Are willing to assess student engagement with curriculum

Estimated Time Commitment.

Up to 4 hours per week for 6 consecutive weeks. Please note that up to 1hr per week should be spent reviewing curriculum.

Virtual (Through the Remainder of 2020)

Other Requirements.

  1. Must be a high school graduate (we welcome current college students)

  2. Must be willing to complete a background check

Program Mentor

What You Do.

Our program mentors support the work of our program instructors. Program mentors interact with students on a 1:1 or small group basis to reinforce curriculum concepts, encourage problem solving and promote team building.

We are looking for Volunteer Program Mentors Who:

  1. Are passionate about getting the next generation of students excited about engineering and technology (A STEM background is not required)

  2. Are confident working with students on a 1:1 or small group basis

  3. Can work harmoniously with other volunteer program instructors and mentors

  4. Are comfortable navigating digital tools (Zoom, Google Classroom, or similar)

  5. Are willing to assess student engagement with curriculum

Estimate Time Commitment.

Up to 2 hours per week. Please note that up to 30 minutes per week should be spent reviewing curriculum.

Virtual (Through the Remainder of 2020)
